Swanley Bridge Marina is a thriving, family-run inland waterways marina located just outside the historic market town of Nantwich. Rooted in the values of honesty, integrity, and friendship, we take pride in providing a welcoming, supportive, and professional environment for all our moorers and visitors.
Our busy Brokerage team is dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service and expert advice to both buyers and sellers of narrowboats. With the marina and brokerage operating 7 days a week, we are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic individual who can confidently support both boat sales and day-to-day marina operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Brokerage Manager to market and sell a range of narrowboats.
* Build strong relationships with clients, taking time to understand their specific requirements.
* Record and maintain customer information accurately using our in-house CRM system.
* Conduct regular viewings with prospective buyers across all brokerage boats.
* Photograph and film narrowboats for sale, producing high-quality, engaging online listings.
* Provide clear and up-to-date advice on market conditions, sales processes, and legal requirements.
* Support negotiations between buyers and sellers to ensure smooth and satisfactory transactions.
* Assist in developing and delivering marketing strategies to increase boat sales.
* Deliver excellent customer service across the marina, ensuring a friendly and professional experience for all visitors and moorers.
* Customer facing being able to take card payments and handle berthing enquires.
Experience & Skills Required
The ideal candidate will be approachable, proactive, and reliable, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team. A natural communicator with a passion for people and customer service, you will bring:
* Proven sales experience with strong negotiation skills.
* Good computer literacy, including the ability to create online listings and use CRM systems.
* Familiarity with marinas, narrowboats, or boating is desirable, but not essential.
* Strong knowledge of social media platforms, particularly Facebook and Instagram.
* A positive, hands-on attitude with the willingness to get involved across different aspects of the marina.
