We are recruiting a Social Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.
We pay an attractive salary of £39,152 - £41,771 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
This post attracts a Market Supplement of £3,551 per annum, in addition to the annual salary, which will be paid in 12 monthly instalments.
We are looking for a Social Worker who manage those children who are subject to placing children in the care of their parents (PCCP), Kinship Fostering arrangements and children on Special Guardianship Orders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and reviewing the support needs of both the children and their parents/carers. You will be required to attend court to ensure the most appropriate Order is in place i.e. when considering revoking Care Orders or converting Care Orders to Special Guardianship Orders.
You will have excellent assessment skills and the ability to engage with children and their families effectively, with a focus on wellbeing and safety of the child. You will be skilled in developing and sustaining effective multi-agency working and will closely collaborate with professionals of every discipline.

For the role, we ask that you have:
* A Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor.
* Up to date knowledge of current legislation Research and Practice issues in childcare.
* Registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales or equivalent regulators in England, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
* A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
