We are looking for an inspirational Assistant Head Teacher to join Elmley Castle C of E First School and help us deliver the very best education for our children. We are seeking a passionate, forward-thinking teacher to lead a small Year 5 class (up to 15 pupils) while taking on the role of Assistant Head and SENDCo. Full training will be provided for the SENDCo responsibilities if required. The role will also include subject leadership responsibilities, with dedicated non-contact time provided to support these duties.

đź’Ľ The Role:
•Teach and inspire a Year 5 class, adapting learning to meet individual needs.
•Lead the school’s SEND provision, including IPMs, assessments, and liaison with families and external agencies.
•Take on subject leadership responsibilities, using dedicated time to drive improvements.
•Support school leadership with improvement initiatives, curriculum planning, and policy development.
•Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and inclusion.
•Model and embed the school’s Christian ethos in all aspects of school life.
✨ We Are Looking For Someone Who:
•Is a qualified teacher (QTS) with KS2 experience.
•Has a passion for inclusion and SEND, and is willing to undertake SENDCo training if needed.
•Is collaborative, approachable, and values strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
•Is committed to leading with integrity, promoting our Christian ethos, and inspiring pupils and staff alike.
•Is ready to take on leadership responsibilities and contribute to our ambitious school vision.
