The role
As an Engineering Safety and Compliance Officer, you’ll support and enhance safety, quality and regulatory compliance across our Part‑ and CAMO engineering operations. You’ll take responsibility for processing and managing safety occurrences, coordinating technical assessments, supporting audit activity, and helping the business meet the highest aviation safety standards. This role offers you the opportunity to work alongside subject matter experts, engineering leaders and compliance teams, making a meaningful impact on operational safety and continuous improvement.
Day-to-day, you will:
1. Conduct and coordinate engineering occurrence investigations and human factors investigations, including trend analysis.
2. Serve as the focal point for CAMO and Part‑ audit outputs, coordinating responses to any non‑compliance findings.
3. Support department heads with root cause analysis and the development of corrective and preventive actions.
4. Work with the Engineering Management Team to ensure procedures meet regulatory standards and are consistently applied during maintenance.
5. Support continuous improvement and ensure workforce competency through appropriate training, assessment and guidance.
This is a full‑time role, working 40 hours per week and is based on site at Gloucestershire Airport, Staverton.
Essential experience of the Engineering Safety and Compliance Officer:
6. Strong working knowledge and experience within a Part‑ commercial aircraft maintenance environment.
7. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and regulators.
8. Knowledge of Part‑, Part‑CAMO and Part‑66 regulations, with proven ability to apply them effectively.
9. Experience within the rotary maintenance environment (desirable).
10. Experience working with OEMs or service providers (desirable).
Qualifications for the Engineering Safety and Compliance Officer:
11. Foundation Degree in Aerospace Engineering; or
12. Aerospace Apprenticeship with considerable industry experience, ideally holding a Part‑66 AML.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
