We’re currently recruiting for an experienced and confident Healthcare Trainer to join a well-established care provider operating across Bournemouth and Southampton. This is an exciting Monday to Friday, full-time permanent position, ideal for a nurse who enjoys sharing knowledge, mentoring staff, and ensuring the highest standards of complex care delivery. The Role As the Healthcare Trainer, you’ll take the lead in delivering both mandatory and complex clinical training to care teams working across home care, supported living, and a small residential setting. You’ll assess competencies, supervise care quality, and ensure all training remains compliant with CQC and Skills for Care requirements. This role suits someone who thrives on variety, autonomy, and making a direct impact on the standard of care across multiple services. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, hands-on, and classroom-based training sessions, including: Mandatory Care Training (Moving & Handling, Medication, Safeguarding, Infection Control, Basic Life Support, etc.) Complex Clinical Care Training (Tracheostomy Care, PEG Feeding, Catheterisation, Stoma Care, Suctioning, Epilepsy & Buccal Midazolam, Oxygen Therapy, and other delegated healthcare tasks) Assess, support, and sign off staff competencies for complex care procedures Support with staff inductions, refresher sessions, and ongoing development Supervise and monitor the quality of clinical care delivered by staff Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with regulations Liaise with management to identify training needs and promote clinical excellence Requirements Fully Registered Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration Strong clinical background with hands-on experience in complex care Proven experience in delivering healthcare or clinical training Recognised training qualification (e.g. Level 3 Award in Education and Training or Train the Trainer) Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential) Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills Highly organised with strong attention to detail What’s on Offer Competitive salary – up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience Full-time, Monday–Friday working pattern (no weekends) Permanent contract with long-term career stability 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) Ongoing professional development and support Supportive and collaborative working environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact by improving care standards If you’re an experienced Registered Nurse who loves developing others and wants a rewarding role with work–life balance, this is an excellent opportunity to take your next step.
