About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key part in creating positive, engaging learning experiences. You'll:
* Support teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining a welcoming classroom environment
* Motivate and encourage pupils to achieve their best
* Help set up learning materials and resources
* Monitor pupil engagement and progress
* Support children individually or in small groups to enhance learning
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including:
* Education, childcare, or youth work
* Care, residential or support work
* Sports coaching or community work
Formal qualifications aren't essential - what matters most is your enthusiasm, reliability, and passion for helping young people thrive.
You'll bring:
* Strong communication and listening skills
* A calm, patient and caring approach
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* A genuine interest in education and child development
(Please note: experience should be in a professional capacity rather than purely lived experience.)
Working Patterns Available
* Full-Time: 8:30am - 3:30pm
* Part-Time: Mornings (8:30am - 12:30pm) or Afternoons (12:30pm - 3:30pm)
* Flexible/Day-to-Day: work that fits around your schedule
Age Ranges
* Primary (4-11 years)
* SEND (4-25 years)
