Job Description
3. Lead audit engagements from planning to sign-off, ensuring compliance with UK accounting and auditing standards
4. Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior audit staff, providing timely feedback
5. Act as a key point of contact for clients, building trusted and professional relationships
6. Review financial statements and assess audit risks and internal controls
7. Manage audit budgets, monitor progress, and communicate variances to managers
8. Identify opportunities to add value to clients beyond core audit work
9. Plan and run audit meetings, including planning, progress, and completion meetings
10. Lead audits involving group structures, overseas subsidiaries, and complex transactions
The Successful Applicant
11. Studying towards or already qualified ACA / ACCA / CA (or qualified by experience)
12. Experience gained within an accountancy practice environment
13. Strong understanding of UK auditing and accounting standards and Companies Act requirements
14. Experience leading audits and supervising junior staff
15. Confident assessing audit risk and handling more complex audit areas
16. Exposure to group audits, IFRS, or overseas entities (desirable)
17. Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively
