This is a hands‑on role leading the planning, design, and delivery of building services and infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and resilient operations. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding long‑term infrastructure resilience, maintaining statutory engineering compliance, leading major capital works, and providing authoritative technical guidance to the wider business.

Key Responsibilities
* Own and manage campus infrastructure, including HV/LV electrical, HVAC, fire safety, water hygiene, building fabric, and civil works.
* Lead lifecycle planning, maintenance strategies, and major capital projects.
* Ensure compliance with UK/EU legislation, Building Regulations, and statutory systems.
* Oversee contractors, procurement, project delivery, and technical sign‑off.
* Provide engineering advice, risk management, and resilience planning to senior leadership.
* Maintain accurate asset, compliance, and project data with clear reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Building Services) or equivalent.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership (IET, IMechE, CIBSE, ICE) preferred.
* Significant experience managing complex infrastructure systems and large‑scale capital projects.
* Strong knowledge of UK/EU legislation, Building Regulations, and Technical Handbooks.
* Proven track record delivering major engineering and infrastructure programmes.
* Expert knowledge of statutory systems including HV/LV electrical, fire safety, water hygiene (L8), and asbestos management.
* Strong leadership, project management, and contractor management skills.
