We specialise in marine growth protection systems and impressed current cathodic protection systems. We are seeking an experienced Design & Project Engineer to join our Military and Offshore Department. Role Purpose: Lead and manage specific design projects across our diverse product portfolio. Deliver bespoke design solutions through effective project management. Develop engineering solutions to overcome technical challenges. Ensure engineering drawings meet applicable standards and accurately reflect design intent. Expand and enhance our military and offshore product range with innovative designs. Support the team with engineering advice, analysis, and troubleshooting. Customize current products to meet client requirements. Maintain strong relationships with clients, agents, suppliers, and internal departments. Ensure designs comply with customer requirements and relevant standards. Guarantee accuracy and timely delivery of product drawings. Key Responsibilities: Create and edit 3D components and assemblies using Solidworks, following industry standards. Convert 3D models into precise 2D drawings, ensuring compliance with BS8888 and consideration for manufacturing, installation, and servicing processes. Approve technical drawings on behalf of the team. Update products to align with current models, drawings, BOM, and production needs. Ensure bills of materials accurately reflect internal and supplier routing. Produce client-friendly drawings for manuals as needed. Track and document changes to products through Engineering Change Requests and Orders. Submit project documentation, drawings, and calculations correctly and on time. Collaborate with suppliers and operations to ensure timely production from prototypes to final products. Provide support and guidance to the military and offshore team. Required Skills and Attributes: Degree in mechanical or similar engineering discipline. Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic design, materials, and best engineering practices. Expertise in design for manufacture and assembly following industry standards. Proficiency in Solidworks suite, ePDM, and Microsoft Office suite. Strong project and time management skills. Ability to obtain UK security clearance, requiring UK nationality or a minimum of 5 years of UK residency. Desirable Skills: Understanding of flow dynamics and basic electronics. Working knowledge of ANSYS Fluent. Experience in design and hands-on build activities.
