Overview
Provide technical and engineering support for regional Network & Capital Delivery projects, ensuring high standards in health and safety, customer satisfaction, and quality. Manage construction activities and resolve complex issues to deliver compliant and efficient water network solutions.
Responsibilities
* Attend project sign-off meetings to make sure construction matches the design and costs are accurate.
* Work with local authorities, highways teams, and landowners to keep projects running smoothly.
* Support customer teams by helping resolve complaints and ensuring site teams deliver great service and safety.
* Lead planning and coordination for water network projects, including managing supply interruptions and promoting low-impact methods.
* Provide technical input to solve challenges on-site and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
* Manage handovers, approve changes, and make sure all documentation is in place for a smooth transition back to operations.
* Facilitating decision making where there are several key stakeholders with different views - to ensure project success.
* Ensure CDM principles are applied consistently across water networks.
* Plan and organise by managing a dynamic portfolio of projects to ensure successful delivery to Time, Cost and Quality requirements and milestones.
* Collaborate with the Programme Manager, Project Manager, Network Performance Managers, Customer Manager, Network Manager and Network Delivery Manager to plan key milestones for the construction of Network & Capital Delivery projects.
* Successfully manage resources in line with a flexible programme of works.
Qualifications
* Minimum of a HNC in an engineering or relevant technical discipline / experience.
* Technically competent and high degree of expertise in Streetworks practice and legislation.
* Knowledge and experience of water network construction and operation.
* Knowledge of highway reinstatement techniques and requirements.
* Competent and qualified on water hygiene requirements.
* Good planning, organisational and problem solving skills.
* Able to manage projects and a programme of work.
* Ability to build and connect with stakeholders.
* Communication & Negotiation skills.
* CDM experience is preferable but non-essential.
