Apprenticeship Summary: Salary: £7.55 an hour Working Week: Monday to Friday 8:45am – 3:15pm including a 30 minute break Hours: 30 hours per week Online apprenticeship training supported by our skilled tutors Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification Locations: St Peter's CE Primary School, Belford Road, Harrogate, HG1 1JA The Role: To work with the class teacher supporting SEND pupils within class and on a one-to-one basis. Main Duties: · Help with planned learning and behaviour activities, and give feedback to support planning. · Ask questions to help pupils think and learn. · Support behaviour, teaching methods, and pupils' wellbeing (including health, emotional, and social needs). · Help create and follow individual support plans (like IEPs or behaviour plans). · Build one-to-one mentoring relationships with pupils. · Go on trips with pupils and help supervise them. · Give advice on learning, behaviour, and attendance. · Boost pupils’ confidence and keep them motivated. · Build good relationships with pupils, families, and other professionals. · Help with hygiene and personal care while promoting independence. · Support pupils using ICT and follow school rules about its use. · Supervise pupils during exams and make sure rules are followed. · Take part in training and development sessions. This will typically include: · Study towards a relevant qualification, Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma. · On-the-job training and mentoring from experienced professionals. · Regular review meetings to track progress and development.
