On Track Education based at West Yarner and Newton Abbot is a mixed, day special school. The school provides education for up to 40 pupils aged 7-16 who benefit from small group and individualised learning.Seale Hayne Business Centre is our school site for our secondary age children. West Yarner is situated on the outskirts of Dartington and is a base for our primary age children (KS1/KS2). All children have individualised timetables with a range of enrichment activities, which are lined to their personalised targets within their EHCPs.
Due to expansion we are looking for an additional Education Support Worker. This role will predominately be based at the West Yarner site but you may also be required to work at Seale Hayne Business Centre in Newton Abbot and on outreach therefore must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
THE JOB:
·Provide individual support and supervision for students aged between 7-16, encouraging their engagement in the learning process, working towards agreed aims and objectives.
·Plan and deliver parts of the learning or intervention programme for the young people.
·Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils as part of a professional team contributing towards meeting the academic, social, behavioural and emotional needs of young people.
·Deliver intervention sessions for pupils on a 1:1 basis both on and off site

THE PERSON:
·Experience of working with children and young people
·An interest in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning
·A commitment to positive behaviour management
·Good general standard of education including GCSE Grade 4 in English and Maths

Salary £25,410 per annum. Company benefits include pension, retailer discounts, online GP, employee wellbeing programme.
Working hours: 845am to 445pm Monday to Friday.
