Deputy Manager – Care Home (NP19 9DF) Newport, South Wales From £45,000 per year Full-time, Permanent We are currently recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Deputy Manager to join a well-established care home specialising in elderly care, including dementia and Alzheimer’s support. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated senior care professional looking to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact on residents’ lives while supporting the Home Manager in delivering outstanding care. Key Responsibilities * Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the service * Lead, supervise, and motivate care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care * Oversee care planning, ensuring tailored support for residents, including those with dementia * Manage medication processes in line with regulatory standards * Ensure compliance with CQC, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements * Deliver staff training and support ongoing professional development * Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies * Assist with staffing, rotas, recruitment, and performance management Requirements * Proven experience in a nursing home or assisted living setting * Previous supervisory or management experience in care * Strong knowledge of dementia and elderly care * Experience with care planning and medication administration * Excellent leadership and organisational skills * Compassionate, patient-focused approach What’s on Offer * Salary from £45,000 per annum * Company pension * Flexitime * On-site parking * Career progression opportunities If you’re passionate about delivering exceptional care and ready to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you
