Purpose of the Role
We are excited to announce that we are seeking a Night Duty Manager to join our Front of House team at Grantley Hall.
As Night Duty Manager, you will provide a 5-star service throughout the night, ensuring the operation runs smoothly and maintaining the safety and security of the hotel. Your management presence during the night will ensure all guests are looked after and that the Night Porter team fulfills their roles and responsibilities to the highest standards.
We encourage hospitality enthusiasts who thrive on delivering high standards of guest service and are passionate about going above and beyond for every guest to consider this opportunity. Night shift hours are 9:30 pm to 7:30 am on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
* Work alongside the Head Porter and Reception Supervisors to ensure seamless handovers from night to day shifts
* Handle guest complaints involving hotel services and escalate to relevant departments when necessary
* Exceed guest needs during the night, assisting with requests, transport arrangements, and in-room dining as required
* Maintain Front Office operations during the night, assisting with late arrivals, early departures, and telephone inquiries
* Complete billing, auditing, and clerical tasks
* Ensure hotel cleanliness and standards are maintained, providing cleaning support when needed
* Conduct regular security walks around the property to ensure safety
* Report issues and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks
Key Skills, Qualities & Experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with polite etiquette
* Computer literacy; knowledge of Opera Cloud is desirable but training will be provided
* Well-presented, adhering to Grantley Hall's grooming standards
* Use of initiative and willingness to support the wider team
* A full clean driving license is essential
