As an ECT, you’ll be fully supported in your development while taking on your own class. You’ll deliver high-quality lessons, contribute to school life, and inspire the next generation of learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and differentiated lessons to primary students.
Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school and national standards.
Create a safe, stimulating, and positive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, mentors, and parents to support each child’s learning journey.
Participate in CPD sessions and induction support tailored for ECTs.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – awarded or expected by September 2025.
Strong understanding of the national curriculum.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A genuine passion for teaching and making a difference.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a team-orientated school setting.
Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps).
