The Role - What You'll Do We are looking for a People Operations Advisor t o join our People team. This is a varied and hands-on role providing high-quality HR advice and operational support across the organisation. Reporting to the People Operations Manager you'll provide guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR matters, support recruitment activity, and help to maintain effective people processes and systems. You’ll play a key role in helping us foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This role is ideal for someone with proven HR experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a growing organisation. Employee Relations & HR Advisory Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers on a range of issues including absence, performance, discipline, and grievance. Support the effective and fair application of HR policies and employment law. Assist in managing and documenting employee relations cases, escalating complex issues where appropriate. Coach and support managers to develop confidence in managing people matters. Recruitment & Workforce Planning Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, advertising roles, coordinating interviews, and issuing offers and contracts. Work with managers to ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience. Maintain recruitment trackers and support workforce planning and attraction activities. People Operations Support onboarding, induction and probation processes Maintain accurate HR systems and employee records Assist with policy updates, process improvements, and compliance. Support organisational change activity, including growth and TUPE-related work Projects & Continuous Improvement Support People and organisational projects as required. Help identify ways to improve efficiency and employee experience across all People processes. Contribute to initiatives that support engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing. About You CIPD Level 5 Experience working in a generalist HR or advisory role. Proven experience of supporting a range of ER cases Experience leading or supporting recruitment processes end-to-end Confident working in a fast-paced environment Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach Why Join Oakdale?
