A well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to play a key role in leading its Drainage Infrastructure capability within its Cardiff office.
Working as part of a collaborative and experienced technical team, the successful candidate will help steer the delivery of civil engineering design across a diverse infrastructure portfolio. The focus of the role centres on Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and traditional surface water solutions, supporting projects that range in complexity and scale.

Key Experience & Qualifications
Experience in surface and foul water drainage design and/or construction, with strong familiarity of Sewers for Adoption and the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB)
Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (Master’s level preferred)
Chartered status achieved or close to completion with a recognised professional body such as ICE or CIWEM
Proficient in 3D design and modelling tools including MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Autodesk ICM
Working knowledge of statutory approval processes (e.g. Section 104 and 106 agreements)
Experience engaging with SuDS Approval Bodies
Understanding of national planning policy and infrastructure requirements relating to flood risk and drainage strategy
Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers at varying levels of experience
Strong project management capability, including resource planning and the coordination of multiple live schemes
Experience liaising with regulatory and statutory consultees such as Natural Resources Wales and the Environment AgencyWhat’s on Offer
