About the role:
You will drive a Volvo lorry from our fleet, all less than 4 years old, equipped with high specifications including fridges, leather seats, and optional extras for comfort.
Work mainly from Monday to Friday, with 45-hour weeks and 9-hour shifts starting around 7/8 am. Our organized schedules often specify your routes in advance, reducing stress.
This role offers job security within a growing, global business. We operate a busy fleet, providing consistent work. Key Responsibilities:
We trust our drivers to plan their routes without micromanagement. Typically, shifts involve 4 to 6 stops, allowing time to enjoy the open road while being home after each 9-hour shift.
Ensure timely delivery of cages, pallets, freight, stillages, and Yorks. Some sites load/unload for you; others require self-loading. Tasks may include scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks.
Inspect your vehicle and trailer daily, completing defect reports if necessary.
Maintain high standards for customer satisfaction, communicate effectively, and escalate queries to your Site Manager promptly.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Class 1 Driving licence
* Driver CPC qualification card
* Completed or working towards required DCPC training hours
* Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and commitment to safety
* A proactive, 'can do' attitude
