Overview
As a result of recent contract awards we are looking to expand our team in 2026, and invite applicants to join our Mechanical Contracts Team within our Head Office, where we provide total engineering support to our directly employed Mechanical and Electrical Installation Engineers. We support the following teams: Contract Management, Design, Estimating, and CAD/BIM Management.
Responsibilities
* Read, understand and scrutinise Specifications.
* Design Mechanical Services Systems from architects' drawings and/or room data sheets:
o Domestic Services Installation
o Ventilation
o Heating
o Comfort Cooling
o Air Conditioning
o Public Health Installation
* Design and Build experience is essential.
* Good working knowledge of current regulations including HTM's.
* Good working knowledge of BMS & Control Systems.
* Conduct site visits and surveys.
* Meet clients, consultants and professional teams.
* Present designs to professional and contract management teams.
* Work within a team.
* Adhere to programme deadlines and timescales.
* Understand business demands.
* Maintain good documentation and presentation skills.
* Willing to undertake further design training as relevant.
Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years' experience.
* Trade qualifications as Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services) or equivalent, educated to HND/HNC or degree level.
* Excellent knowledge of Building Services Design software packages.
* Good understanding of Estimating, CAD & BIM, Revit packages.
* Knowledge of computer‑based Estimation packages, MS Project or Asta Powerproject, Excel and Word.
* References required.
Working Hours
* Primarily Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30.
* Occasional extra hours and travel to site for surveys and meetings.
Commute
* Expected to commute within 45 minutes to 1 hour to Croydon, Surrey.

* Starting salary between £60,000.00 and £75,000.00, plus discretionary performance related bonuses.
