Chartered Buyer - Procurement (Capital Projects, Repairs and Compliance)

About the Role
We are working with a leading organisation in the housing and property services sector to recruit a Chartered Buyer. The role will focus on procurement across capital projects, planned repairs and compliance programmes.
You will take ownership of the full procurement lifecycle, from strategy development and supplier engagement through to tendering, negotiations and contract award. This is a key position that will ensure compliance with procurement regulations, deliver value for money and support the successful delivery of works that improve homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies for capital projects, repairs and compliance contracts
Manage tender processes in line with UK procurement regulations
Lead contract negotiations, ensuring cost efficiency, quality and strong supplier performance
Collaborate with technical and operational teams to shape specifications that meet service needs
Ensure procurement activity supports compliance obligations including building safety, gas and electrical servicing, and fire safety
Drive sustainability and social value outcomes through supplier engagement
Provide expert procurement guidance to internal stakeholders What We're Looking For
MCIPS or RICS Chartered Buyer (or equivalent professional qualification)
Proven track record of managing procurement in the public sector, ideally in housing, construction or property services
Strong knowledge of procurement legislation, frameworks and tendering procedures
Ability to negotiate contracts that deliver value for money and compliance
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple procurements simultaneously What's on Offer
