The Role
The school is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join a strong Key Stage 2 team. As part of a three-form entry structure, you will benefit from shared planning, established schemes of work, and the support of experienced colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons for Year 4 pupils.
* Assessing and tracking pupil progress to ensure all learners achieve their potential.
* Working collaboratively with parallel Year 4 teachers and the wider KS2 team to plan and share best practice.
* Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
* Communicating effectively with parents and carers to support children’s learning and development.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – no ECTs for this post.
* Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4.
* Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
* Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
* A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil progress.
