Associate, CDM Consultant – Ridge and Partners LLP
Opportunity to join our expanding Construction Health and Safety team. We specialise in CDM services across the UK, offering roles in Liverpool or Manchester.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate closely with project team, client and designers to deliver Principal Designer services in compliance with CDM regulations.
* Manage the pre‑construction phase, including preparing and collating pre‑construction information and leading CDM workshops.
* Liaise with stakeholders—principal contractor, architect, design team—to keep them updated on H&S/CDM matters.
* Carry out site inspections and compliance audits.
* Prepare Health & Safety files and review operation and maintenance manuals.
* Develop and maintain client relationships and generate new business opportunities.
* Contribute to bid submissions and fee proposals under supervision.
Qualifications & Skills
* Extensive experience overseeing the design risk management process and running CDM workshops.
* Ability to challenge designers to ensure safe construction methods during pre‑construction.
* Experience in access and maintenance processes, including plant replacement strategies.
* In‑depth knowledge of CDM regulations and associated legislation.
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent professional qualification.
* Associate membership of the Association for Project Safety and/or technical membership of IOSH.
