Epilepsy Scotland is seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to support the Head of Income Generation by leading and motivating the Fundraising Team to achieve income targets. The role involves managing and developing relationships with existing funders, donors and partners, while identifying and securing new funding opportunities across trusts, foundations, corporate partnerships and individual giving.

Job Purpose

To support the Head of Income Generation by providing effective leadership to the Fundraising Team to enable team members to achieve their targets and objectives.

To manage ongoing relationships with existing funders and donors whilst identifying and realising new sources of funding.

Essential

* Relevant fundraising qualification or equivalent skills through ongoing professional and personal development.
* Relevant experience in Community and Events Fundraising, Corporate Fundraising and/or Individual Giving.
* Demonstrable experience of successfully managing a large departmental income and expenditure budget.
* Practical experience of managing a team of fundraisers to achieve financial and non-financial targets and objectives.
* Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with members, individuals and fundraising volunteers.
* Effective I.T. skills.
* Good working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases (including Excel and Access).
* Working knowledge of Harlequin or other fundraising databases.
* Passionate about working with people
* Ability to motivate and enthuse others
* Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
* Ability to work to clear deadlines and prioritise workload
* Ability to interact well with the public and people affected by epilepsy
* Ability to network and build strong working relationships
* Current driving license

Desirable

* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* Proven track record in working on own initiative and as part of a team
* Relevant experience of working in the voluntary sector
* Practical experience of meeting targets
* Working knowledge of online fundraising platforms
* Working knowledge of online and offline promotional tools for fundraising
* Access to a car
