POSITION SUMMARY AND CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for a Financial Planner & Analyst to join our finance team, helping to shape the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the company through meticulous analysis and forecasting, analysing data, trends, and metrics to inform decision-making, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop financial models for accurate budgeting, forecasting future performance and managing the Group's financial resources to meet strategic objectives.

· Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic planning, investment decisions, resource allocation, and overall business growth.

· Preparing and managing annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts to allocate resources and plan for future operations.

· Analysing historical financial data, identifying trends, perform variance analysis against budgets, and interpret complex data to predict future outcomes.

· Clearly explain complex financial information and strategies to various stakeholders, supporting informed decisions.

· Collaborate with department heads and senior managers to gather data, understand business drivers, and provide financial context for initiatives.

· Compare actual financial results against forecasts and budgets to understand performance deviations and to identify and suggest improvements.

· Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems and reporting frameworks to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the Group.

GENERAL MINIMUM JOB STANDARDS & RESPONSIBILITIES

2. Communication: strong skills both verbal and written. Skilled and compassionate listener and reader able to understand and examine inbound enquiries and effectively respond and direct. Able to build trust and rapport by applying tone, style and appropriate language to communications.

3. Teamwork: Is a positive and effective team player. Treats colleagues with dignity and respect. Communicates issues or problems within the team and with Management as necessary.

4. Administration: Sets own goals and checks processing is accurate and timely. Raises issues promptly, follows up on outstanding tasks and ensures complete and accurate records.

PERSON SPECIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Essential experience and skills required:

· Accounting qualification – ICEAW (ACA)/ACCA/CIMA

· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial planning, financial analysis, or corporate finance.

· Strong ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and apply critical thinking to solve problems.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and expertise in financial modelling and analysis.

· Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

· A detail-oriented mindset with a strong ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.

· Understanding of financial principles, market conditions, and how financial decisions impact business performance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
