An excellent new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Home Manager to manage a nursing home based in Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne and Wear. You will work for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.
This non-profit care home provides residential, nursing, dementia, palliative, and respite care.
To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as an RGN or RMN Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure high standards of service delivery within a quality assurance framework, maintaining the highest level of nursing and residential care standards through the quality assurance cycle.
* Ensure the care home complies with all relevant legislation and registration requirements by establishing, maintaining, and monitoring procedures, and staying informed about major developments and legislation within the sector.
* Manage the recruitment, performance, and development of quality staff to meet the needs of the service, ensuring compliance with all HR and L&D policies.
* Assist in setting, monitoring, and controlling budgets to ensure income is maximized and value for money is achieved, including identifying new business opportunities and exceeding occupancy targets.
* Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies and plans to help the care home achieve its business objectives.
* Promote the company's aims and interests externally by marketing and building relationships with external agencies and the wider community.
* Maintain the company's external reputation through effective partnership working with stakeholders.
* Participate in special projects and change programs supporting the group's objectives.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Previous experience managing a nursing home.
* Ability in budget preparation and control.
* Experience managing staff directly.
* Excellent written and spoken English skills.
* A positive and accepting approach to clients with diverse needs.
* Ability to interrogate and extract data from computer systems.

The successful Home Manager will receive an excellent salary up to GBP76,196 per annum DOE. This is a permanent, full-time role for 40 hours a week on day shifts. Benefits include:
