Role: Warehouse General Manager - 3PL Contract Logistics (Multi-User)
Salary & Benefits: £75,000 - £85,000 + Car / Allowance & Package
The Company: Loom Talent Limited has been exclusively retained by an established European 3PL Contract Logistics provider, focusing on delivering exceptional service and innovative warehousing solutions across the UK. The company has a diverse UK customer portfolio including Retail, E-Commerce, Fashion, and FMCG sectors.
The Role: The Warehouse General Manager will lead all activities at a key UK distribution center in Milton Keynes, managing a 250,000+ sq. ft. multi-user site. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to contribute to a rapidly growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Report to the Sector Business Unit Director.
* Provide strategic operational leadership across warehousing, distribution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Lead and develop a team of up to 200+ employees through direct managerial reports.
* Maintain and strengthen client relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
* Manage the site budget exceeding £20m, ensuring financial and service objectives are met.
* Develop and refine KPIs and standardize site operations.
* Ensure compliance with all safety and industry standards.
* Evaluate and improve operational processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Support innovation through automation, robotics, and new technology adoption.
* Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and third-party service providers to ensure timely, cost-effective services.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Experience in Logistics, Distribution, and Supply Chain - Essential
* At least 5+ years in a senior management role such as GM, Operations Director, or Head of Operations - Essential
* Proven experience in 3PL multi-user environments - Essential
* Experience managing budgets over £15m in large DC operations - Essential
* Knowledge of semi-automation and robotics (AMRs, AGVs) - Advantageous
* Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams - Essential
* Understanding of the UK logistics and warehousing market - Essential
* Enthusiasm for large-scale growth challenges - Essential
* Ability to commute to Milton Keynes 5 days a week - Essential
