Job description
Our client, operating in the nuclear and oil & gas sectors, is seeking three skilled MMA Welders to join their team in a permanent capacity. This opportunity involves structural welding as a fabricator/welder, with an emphasis on maintaining quality to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Performing MMA welding in accordance with ISO 9606-1 standards (Ccnsg)
2. Conducting structural welding and fabrication tasks
3. Ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols specific to the nuclear sectors
4. Maintaining equipment and tools in good working condition
5. Interpreting welding procedure specifications and technical drawings
6. Completing weld tests at designated locations as required
7. Working collaboratively with a team of welders and structural technicians
8. Adapting to potential shift changes, including a possible 10 on/4 off pattern
Job Requirements:
9. Experience in MMA welding, specifically within the nuclear sectors
10. BS EN ISO 9606-1 coded welding qualification
11. Proficiency in structural welding and fabrication
12. Recent experience with both coded welding and welding testing
13. Ability to interpret technical drawings and welding specifications
14. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
15. Adaptability to work overtime and potential shift pattern changes
16. Completion of a weld test at Bridgwater & Taunton College
