Duties
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
* Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and cooks.
* Ensure all kitchen surfaces are sanitised and free from hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
* Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper stock rotation and adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Support chefs during busy service periods by providing timely assistance as needed.
* Dispose of waste correctly and ensure recycling practices are followed.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
* A basic understanding of food hygiene practices is advantageous; training will be provided.
