2. Collaborative Planning: Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement personalised education plans that address the student's unique requirements.
3. Engagement and Motivation: Keep the student engaged and motivated by creating stimulating and accessible learning activities that cater to their interests and abilities.
4. Progress Monitoring: Monitor the student's progress regularly, provide feedback to relevant stakeholders, and adjust support strategies as needed to maximise learning outcomes.
5. Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour management techniques and support the student in developing effective coping strategies and social skills.
6. Resourceful Learning: Utilise a variety of educational resources and adapt teaching materials to accommodate the student's learning style and preferences.
Requirements:
7. Relevant Experience: Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, particularly in a 1-1 capacity with SEN students, is essential.
8. Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building rapport with students, families, and school staff.
9. Passion for SEN Support: Demonstrated commitment to supporting the educational and emotional development of children with special needs.
