Job Description
As Engineering Manager, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team across mechanical, electrical and facilities functions. Reporting into the Site Director, the role is days-based and will involve close collaboration with senior stakeholders to deliver engineering and production objectives.You will be responsible for developing and executing engineering performance aligned with business goals, focusing on operational efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The Engineering Manager will oversee plant availability and performance, drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and energy standards.Key responsibilities include:
3. Leading engineering operations as part of the senior leadership team
4. Mentoring and developing the engineering team
5. Leading complex CapEx improvements
6. Strict adherence to compliance and regulatory standards
7. Vast oversight of factory utilities
8. Championing continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
9. Supporting succession planning and team development
10. Collaborating with cross-functional leaders to share best practices
The Successful Applicant
The ideal Engineering Manager will have a strong leadership background within manufacturing or industrial environments, and a mix of the following:
11. HNC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline
12. Proven experience leading engineering teams in a fast-paced setting
13. Strong understanding of safety regulations
14. Exposure to highly regulated utilities and compliance
15. Resilience and adaptability in high-pressure environments
16. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
17. Ability to be on-site 5 days a week in North Nottinghamshire
