We are looking for a Statutory Reporting Manager for a 14-month (hybrid) contract based in Derby, on behalf of our globally respected client who develops cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe, and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.
Purpose of the role
The Statutory Reporting Manager will play a key role in delivering accurate and compliant financial reporting for a FTSE100 group and its UK subsidiaries. This includes preparing statutory accounts, supporting audit processes, and ensuring alignment with evolving accounting standards. The role also covers pension reporting under IAS 19 and contributes to continuous improvement of reporting processes. It further involves supporting the preparation of finance sections of the Annual Report, including group reserves disclosures and other key notes.
As a Statutory Reporting Manager you will be responsible for:
* Preparing statutory financial statements for the FTSE100 Group and UK subsidiaries in compliance with UK listing rules and accounting standards.
* Reviewing subsidiary accounts to ensure accuracy and alignment with group policies and evolving disclosure requirements.
* Supporting the preparation of finance sections of the Annual Report, including group reserves disclosures and key financial notes.
* Managing relationships with external auditors, responding to technical queries and facilitating audit processes.
* Coordinating IAS 19 pension reporting, including assumption reviews, disclosures, and aligning financial data with actuarial valuations.
* Driving process improvements across statutory reporting activities and contributing to training and knowledge sharing within the team.
* Interpreting complex regulatory requirements and aligning them with organisational reporting practices and outputs.
* Collaborating with internal and external partners to align reporting with evolving financial standards and corporate policies.
What we require from the candidate:
* A professionally qualified accountant with strong and relevant financial reporting experience.
* Proven experience or understanding of pensions reporting, ideally within a large or listed organisation.
* Strong relationship-building skills across diverse teams and external stakeholders.

* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to simplify and communicate complex financial information.
* Highly proactive, organised, and resilient, capable of working independently and managing priorities.
