Learning Support Assistant - Towcester (via Tradewind Recruitment)
Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive schools in Towcester and the surrounding Northamptonshire area, and we are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to support children with Special Educational Needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for caring, motivated individuals who want to have a meaningful impact on the educational and emotional development of young people. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.
Working within our partner schools, you may be supporting students with autism, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, or social and emotional challenges. You will work alongside class teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to deliver tailored support, encourage positive behaviour, and help pupils engage confidently with their learning.
The role is varied and rewarding. Responsibilities may include providing one-to-one support, assisting with classroom activities, implementing individual education plans, and promoting independence and self-esteem. You may also support pupils during break times, transitions, and extracurricular activities to ensure they feel safe, included and valued throughout the school day.
We welcome applications from candidates with previous experience in education, childcare, youth work, or care settings, as well as graduates and career changers with a strong interest in SEN. A calm, patient and adaptable approach is essential, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
