About the role
Are you looking for an exciting and varied role? This role will support and report to the Business Improvement Lead team leader to help deliver projects and service improvements across the Technical Services Team including actions arising from the ground's maintenance audit.
The role will help to develop service monitoring data, compile and check inventories and condition surveys of new and existing equipment and machines. It will also have some involvement with fleet management, meadow management and storage facilities.
In addition, there are on-going projects such as the implementation of the Concerto system for use across the team to measure performance, replacement of play equipment, improvements to car parks and boat moorings, electric vehicle charging and procuring battery powered machinery.
Essential criteria for the role
* At least two years knowledge of developing and implementing office procedures, this includes experience of carrying out and documenting process mapping.
* Helping to develop and record key performance indicators.
* Good knowledge of IT systems such as Word and Excel.
* Able to demonstrate good skills in managing different projects.
* Good team working skills to liaise with colleagues in Procurement, Property, Facilities, Legal, HR, Technical business support and the existing Parks team.
Full driving license and access to car.
Key responsibilities for the role
* Developing a means of measuring quality of service.
* Developing and documenting written procedures and processes.
* Ensuring all consumables, equipment, tools and machinery are accounted for and condition is recorded. Overseeing any replacements, training or purchases.
* Reviewing and updating the purchase of consumables.
* Help manage fleet of GM vehicles.
* Introducing new task management system on council CAFM system (Concerto).
* Developing tools to measure cost of service provision and cost of carrying work out for others.
* Supporting on a range of projects on procurement, tender evaluations and contract award.
