Assistant Construction Planner

The Role
As an Assistant Construction Planner, you will support senior planners and project teams in developing, maintaining, and monitoring construction programmes throughout all project stages. Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and development of detailed construction programmes using industry planning software
* Support programme updates, progress tracking, and reporting
* Work closely with site teams to gather progress information and identify risks to programme delivery
* Contribute to short-term and long-term planning strategies
* Assist with delay analysis and programme impact assessments
* Participate in project meetings and planning workshops
* Help develop logistics sequencing and construction methodologies
* Ensure programmes align with project milestones and contractual requirements
Requirements
* Experience within a main contractor or construction environment
* Exposure to high-rise residential or high-rise student accommodation projects preferred
* Understanding of construction sequencing and project lifecycles
* Familiarity with planning software such as Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6 (desirable)
* Strong analytical and organisational skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Relevant construction qualification (Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent) preferred
