Payroll Administrator
Location: Stockport
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000
Working Pattern: Office based initially, flexibility once settled
Payroll Size: ~3,000 PAYE employees
System: Payrite / Iris
💡 The Role
An opportunity to join a well-established, growing organisation within the utilities sector. This is a hands-on payroll role supporting the accurate and compliant delivery of a large monthly payroll, working closely with HR and Finance.
📌 Key Responsibilities

Process monthly payroll for circa 3,000 PAYE employees
*
Calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses, and statutory payments
*
Apply PAYE, NI, pensions, and student loan deductions
*
Ensure RTI submissions and HMRC compliance
*
Maintain payroll records and produce payslips, P45s & P60s
*
Act as first point of contact for payroll-related queries
*
Handle sensitive data with accuracy and confidentiality
👤 What They’re Looking For

Proven UK payroll processing experience
*
Strong understanding of payroll legislation and HMRC rules
*
Experience using payroll systems (Payrite / Iris or similar)
*
Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
*
Confident communicator with a professional approach
