Are you someone who has a good understanding of credit ratings across several types of assets and experience working in Corporate credit within an asset manager, rating agency, or financial institution?
Aviva is building out its internal credit rating team within the IWR Finance Function. This role will work closely with colleagues from the Annuity Asset Origination, Chief Investment Officer, and Aviva Investor teams, depending on the asset class. The internal credit rating team reports to the IWR Actuarial Reserving Lead, who supports the UK IWR Chief Actuary, responsible for the appropriateness of the internal credit ratings used.
A bit about the job:
Assessment and development of new and existing internal credit methodologies to ensure compliance with the UK IWR Credit Rating Policy and relevant regulatory requirements. This includes reviewing methodologies, assurance testing, presenting reviews to expert judgment panels, and supporting the Chief Actuary's responsibilities regarding credit rating approval. You will also review Aviva’s internal and external asset managers, conduct deep dive reviews, and recommend actions to address gaps.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Good understanding of credit ratings across various assets
* Relevant undergraduate degree in economics, finance, accounting, or related field
* Solid understanding of credit analysis fundamentals
* Strong knowledge of credit rating methodologies
* Experience in Corporate credit within an asset manager, rating agency, or financial institution

* Starting salary: National circa £95,000; London circa £115,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
