RM Recruit are proud to be working with an excellent Birmingham based not-for-profit organisation who are on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong finance experience who is looking to play a key role in the smooth running of our accounts function. This role is 100% office-based Monday – Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing purchase ledger activities, including processing invoices, reconciling supplier accounts, and preparing payments.
* Process bank reconciliations and monthly ledger reconciliations
* Overseeing the sales ledger, including raising invoices, credit control, and reconciling customer accounts.
* Assisting with month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journal postings.
* Supporting the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting.
* Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
* Assisting with ad-hoc finance projects and supporting the wider finance team as required.
Person Specification:
* Previous experience in a finance or accounts role, with strong knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes.
* You will be AAT part qualified or qualified by experience
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
* Good communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
* Competent IT skills, including Excel and finance systems.
