Band 4 Urology Cancer Pathway Navigator – position intended to be filled early autumn.
The role involves tracking and navigating patients through urology cancer pathways, including prostate and bladder patients, and providing comprehensive and efficient administrative support to the clinical team, including cancer McMillan nurses.
We are unable to obtain a Certificate of Sponsorship (Work Permit) for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with clinical triage teams for urology cancer pathways, with key stakeholders from other services and liaison with other hospitals.
* Identify capacity issues, escalation them in a timely manner and respond to patient enquiries.
* Act as the main administrative support and point of contact for the urology cancer triage clinical teams, liaising day‑to‑day and prioritising own workload.
* Track and navigate patients through the urology cancer pathways, completing relevant database input throughout the process.
* Serve as point of contact for patients referred via GP to the urology cancer services.
* Coordinate and organise appointments and assessments as required, exchanging information clearly and concisely while dealing with patient anxiety, cultural and language difficulties.
