Credit Control Assistant – Eastleigh – £28,000 + bonus
Full time hours based in the office 4 days a week and working 1 day from home.
An exciting opportunity to join a busy and collaborative finance team within a global organisation. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out credit checks on new customers using external credit agencies.
* Set, review, and maintain customer credit limits and terms.
* Chase overdue invoices via phone and email.
* Post and allocate customer payments accurately.
* Resolve invoice queries and disputes to prevent payment delays.
* Monitor the aged debt ledger and escalating non-payment where necessary.
* Maintain accurate customer master data and records.
* Assist with month‑end processes and year‑end audit requirements.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within credit control.
* Provide regular updates on debtor performance and potential risks.
Skills & Experience Required
* GCSEs in Mathematics and English.
* Previous experience in a customer‑facing or finance environment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Confidence making decisions, even with incomplete information.
