Support Team Leader (Maternity cover)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Support Team Leader to join our Learning Support Team on a maternity cover basis at our Ystrad Mynach Campus. The postholder will lead and coordinate high‑quality support for learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), ensuring full compliance with the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018 and associated Code.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate high‑quality support for learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
* Ensure full compliance with the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018 and associated Code.
* Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of learner support, adopting a person‑centred, outcomes‑focused approach that promotes inclusion, independence, and positive progression for all learners.
Required Qualifications & Professional Requirements
* Successful completion of pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is mandatory for roles involving direct interaction with learners.
