Rayden Engineering Ltd is a Mechanical & Civil Engineering Company, based in the East Midlands of England; and specialising in the pre-fabrication, welding and installation of pipework systems of a wide variety of alloys.We are also involved in the installation of: Cross-country Pipelines and Pipeline Diversions (up to 42 ) and Above Ground Installations (AGIs). We are currently executing major contracts nationwide for major oil & gas companies that include AGIs, pipelines and major civil works. Our continued success and growth over the past number of years now necessitates the appointment of a Document Controller. Role: Based at our Head Office facility, you work directly with our Project Managers / Design Managers and Quality Manager to actively support the design, procurement and construction process on multi-million pound gas and oil projects. We require someone who will integrate into a team, has high levels of motivation, strong IT skills, along with good written & verbal communication skills, good organisation & time management capabilities. This role could provide a route for further career development in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Information Management. Responsibilities: Document Control You will be the owner of the project document registers, systems, and processes. You will manage and control the flow of documents and information on projects. Using Microsoft Software Packages including SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. Receipt and logging of project documentation, maintaining document registers and numbering system Ensuring all documents are submitted through the Document Control Process Distributing documentation both within the company and externally. You will be able to provide an accurate and up-to-date status of the information / document flow whenever requested. Quality Assurance Work closely with our Quality Manager to compile Quality Data Books Collating information from material suppliers and vendor Project Controls Assisting the Project Managers in the production of weekly and monthly reports Project/Design Management Maintaining Project Action trackers and risk registers (Microsoft Planner) Production and distribution of meeting notes Be responsible for ensuring the Project Managers are supported in a consistent, standard way in line with company policies and project procedures Assisting with production of documents in various formats; Word / Excel / Power-point / Project Maintaining Technical Query system Preferred Skills: More than 5 years experience as a Document Controller / Technical Assistant in an engineering company. Familiar with project workflows and working within the design, engineering or construction industries. Proactive and assertive for chasing and expediting documents Excellent IT skills with experience of Microsoft SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive Proficient with other MS Office software, Excel and Word etc. Clean UK Driving licence Personal Attributes : Ability to deliver to tight schedules Applicants need to be highly organised and self-motivated.
