Reports to: Contracts Manager
Job Purpose: By working under the Contracts Manager and senior staff, the Landscaping Foreman will ensure that Eden Horticultural Ltd landscaping projects are delivered safely, on time and on budget, whilst exceeding client's expectations. The role will require a keen eye for detail and a high level of hard landscaping skills including paving, decking, blockwork and brickwork. You will be responsible for a small team of landscapers and must have great people skills and be able to organise and motivate your team whilst being the first point of contact for our clients and as such have a professional and approachable manner at all times.
Key Knowledge:
* Relevant experience/qualification in landscaping
* Good understanding of landscape construction
* Basic principles of horticulture
* Basic knowledge of H&S requirements
* Awareness of project budgets and timelines
* People management skills
* Good communicational skills with staff and clients
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee key domestic landscaping projects
* Work with Contracts Manager to plan work flow and priorities
* Understanding of design drawings and setting out sites and levels
* Able to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines
* Ability to problem solve
* Ensure you and your team adhere to H&S guidelines and wear correct PPE
* Experience in using plant machinery and relevant construction machinery such as diggers and hand tools
* Excellent knowledge of laying all types of paving, setts and stone, blockwork, brickwork and retaining walls
* Experience in trailer towing
* Decking, fencing and timber structures
* Shrub and tree planting, turfing and seeding
* Clean full UK driving license
* Eligibility for an Enhanced DBS (no criminal convictions)
* Ability to complete online work diary and purchase logs using software provided () and maintaining project paper trail
