Overview
We are recruiting for a Public Health Nurse in our Health Visiting Team on a full‑time (37.5 hrs) fixed‑term (2‑year) basis. This role offers a unique opportunity for a registered nurse to advance their career while contributing to health outcomes for children and families.
Responsibilities
* Conduct health assessments for children aged 0‑5 years, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
* Report any concerns or problems to the Practitioner and facilitate appropriate health education and promotion.
* Support the realization of North East Lincolnshire outcomes: enable all people to feel safe, achieve good health and wellbeing, and realize their potential through skills and learning.
* Deliver a range of support to young people and families in the locality, reducing the need for statutory intervention.
* Collaborate with public health colleagues and contribute to team initiatives that improve community health.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in public health or community nursing.
* Strong communication skills, able to build trust and collaborate effectively with practice teams, families, and communities.
* Valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at a level appropriate to the post, and registration with the DBS Update Service within 30 calendar days of issuance.
