Love that Year 1 magic, where phonics clicks, confidence grows, and every day brings a new little win?
If you enjoy helping children take that big step from Reception into more structured learning, but want more flexibility in your week, supply teaching could be just the thing. Whether you’re experienced or an ECT finding your groove, this role lets you focus on teaching, without the extra pressure.
We’re working with a range of warm, community-driven primary schools across BS15 where children are supported to feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. You’ll be stepping into classrooms that balance structure with creativity, where strong relationships and positive routines make all the difference.
What your week could look like:
* Supporting children as they build confidence in reading, writing, and number work
* Delivering engaging phonics and early learning sessions
* Creating a calm, structured classroom where children can thrive
* No long-term planning, just great teaching and meaningful moments
We’re looking for someone who:
* Understands the transition from EYFS into KS1 learning
* Brings energy, patience, and a nurturing approach
* Builds positive relationships quickly with pupils and staff
* Is flexible, reliable, and ready to step into different classrooms
What you’ll get with us:
* Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella hassle
* Flexible working, you choose your days
* FREE CPD, including Team Teach
* Friendly, honest support from people who know schools inside out
* Social events, think bowling and pizza nights
* £50 refer-a-friend bonus, easy win
Supply teaching in Year 1 is about more than covering a class. It’s about helping children find their feet, grow in confidence, and enjoy learning, even if you’re only there for the day.
If that sounds like your kind of role, let’s get you started.
