An exciting opportunity for a fixed-term full‑time MDT Coordinator, Band 5 within the Cancer Services Team for maternity cover until 31st August.
Overview
The successful candidate will support site‑specific Cancer MDT Coordinators to enable the Trust to deliver the new National Timed Diagnostics Pathways, including validation of key cancer returns (CWT & COSD) and coverage of MDT coordinator roles such as tracking patients, supporting and attending MDT meetings, and collecting data. The role involves liaison with departments, primary care colleagues and other trusts to ensure prompt patient appointments, tests and diagnostics, and coordinating and recording weekly Cancer MDT meetings and updating trackers daily.
Responsibilities
* Validate key cancer returns (CWT & COSD).
* Track patients, support and attend MDT meetings.
* Coordinate and record weekly Cancer MDT meetings.
* Update patient pathway trackers daily.
* Collaborate with departments, primary care and other trusts for timely appointments, tests and diagnostics.
* Input and collate data across multiple computer systems.
Qualifications
* Excellent organisational and proactive working style.
* Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain working relationships.
* Proficient computer skills for data handling.
* Ability to work well under pressure and present information to senior management and clinicians.
* Experience in a similar role in cancer services is advantageous.
