Outreach Recovery Workers
in Slough (START) where you can truly make a difference! Your Role
As an Outreach Recovery Worker, you will: Manage a caseload of clients, guiding them through their recovery journey. Conduct assessments and develop personalized recovery plans. Support clients in overcoming barriers to treatment, particularly rough sleepers and vulnerable individuals. Collaborate with multi-agency teams, including housing, mental health, and medical professionals. Work flexible hours, including early mornings and late nights, to meet the needs of our clients. Your week will be dynamic and impactful, including: Evening outreach at street kitchens and night shelters (7 PM - 12 AM). Twice-weekly drop-in services at SHOC and Salvation Army. Early morning outreach alongside MDT colleagues (5:30 AM - 9 AM). Participating in night walks with community leaders every two months (11 PM - 6 AM). Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will: Have training in delivering brief interventions for drug and alcohol use. Possess experience working with rough sleepers in housing, healthcare, or substance use contexts. Demonstrate excellent communication and IT skills. Be passionate about inspiring recovery in others. About Turning Point
