We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Carpentry Lecturer to join our Construction department.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering teaching and learning to our Carpentry students across levels 1 – 3.
Working closely with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager, and the rest of the Construction team, you will share your Carpentry industry knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level. You will act as a personal tutor and course leader for Level 2 students, promote attendance, participate in team meetings, and contribute to planning, development, and review activities within your subject area. You will also teach apprentices in-house and assess students' work.
The successful candidate must:
* Hold a full teaching qualification (such as a PGCE, DTTLS, or Cert Ed).
* Be qualified to teach up to Level 3 in Carpentry.
* Have teaching experience, ideally within Further Education teaching Level 1 to Level 3.
* Have industry experience.
* Have experience delivering Apprenticeships.
A certificate or award in Assessing and Internal Quality Assurance is desirable but not essential.
