Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: St Helens
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (negotiable for the right candidate)
Working Hours: Flexi-time available
About the Role
My client is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team of 5 based in St Helens. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounts payable experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Process approximately 400 supplier invoices per month with accuracy and efficiency
* Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier payments
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
* Maintain and update the purchase ledger in SAGE 200
* Assist with month-end procedures and reporting
* Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
* Support the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
* Proven experience in a purchase ledger/accounts payable role
* Proficiency in SAGE 200 is preferred but not essential
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Ability to manage high volumes of data and meet deadlines
* Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
