We're looking for a Credit for Prior Learning Manager to join our team in Milton Keynes on a permanent basis. This role offers a salary of £47,500 - £50,000.

The purpose of the role is to manage and execute the process for the evaluation of applications for Credit for Prior Learning from students, HEIs and Professional Bodies in line with established criteria and for managing the administrative processes and the CPL database. The role holder will line manage another team member.


What you will be doing

* Manage the administration, results, and maintenance of records for all Strategic Degree programmes for ICAEW records and invoicing.
* Ensure the timely evaluation of HEI degree programmes and professional qualifications against the ICAEW syllabus and examinations.
* Plan, monitor, and report on CPL activity and progress.
* Line manage the Senior Credit for Prior Learning Executive role.
* Evaluate applications from students and members of professional bodies in order to award or decline credit and communicate decisions accordingly.
* Take the lead on new and more complex CPL requests, including working with HEIs who have not previously sat on ICAEW's CPL database.
* Ensure that the CPL database on the ICAEW website is up to date.
* Manage client relationships and respond to employer queries regarding CPL processes and reporting.
* Ensure that data collection for regulatory CPL monitoring is provided to the Learning Standards & Recognition team each year.
* Support liaising with FRC staff on matters related to CPL.
* Support the delivery of the Head of Accreditation & Partnerships objectives, in all matters relating to CPL, including regular reporting of progress.

Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs.


What you will need

* Demonstrable experience of having managed or worked in professional body or university accreditation in an outcomes / decisions-based capacity.
* Proven experience of effective line management and high professional standards.
* Sound knowledge and expertise across the MS Office suite especially word and excel.
* The ability to build effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
* Experience of taking the initiative to plan and achieve the objectives of a team.
* Capable of managing multiple workstreams across varied timelines requiring the need to circle back to update and complete work.
* An analytical mindset, able to identify anomalies, flag concerns, and challenge cases.
* An effective communicator with a strong eye for detail.
* Prior experience of handling sensitive information responsibly in line with GDPR standards.
* Experience of working with technology to improve an existing process, preferably in the field of professional accreditation, would be an advantage.
* Previous experience of an academic environment would be advantageous.
