GSL Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity to support teaching staff and make a real difference in pupils’ learning and development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities. Work with pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and provide additional support. Help create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment. Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and positive behaviour. Assist in monitoring and providing feedback on pupil progress. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to enhance learning outcomes. Requirements for Teaching Assistant: Previous experience supporting pupils in a classroom or SEN setting is desirable. Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to supporting learning and behaviour. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for helping pupils succeed academically and personally. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
